Ms. Volmer graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Management.  She subsequently received a Master’s Degree in Education with a major in Cross-Cultural Teaching from National University, including her CLAD Teaching credential.  Ms. Volmer has been teaching for LAUSD since 2005.  She has taught every grade from TK-5th, but kindergarten by far is her favorite!

Mrs. Morisaki has worked for LAUSD since 1995.  She has taught grades 1, 2 and 3 but her favorite is kindergarten!  She attended UCSD and received a BA in History along with her Teaching Credential in Elementary Education.  She has a Master's Degree from LMU in Language and Literacy.  She has two sons that attended Paseo del Rey.  Go Stingrays!

Elizabeth Jimenez

Mrs. Jimenez graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Cal State Dominguez and a BCLAD teaching credential. She has taught for 20 years with LAUSD; 12 years in Kindergarten and 8 years in first grade. She is currently the ELD Coordinator at Paseo. She loves working at Paseo because of the collaboration between teachers and across grade levels to inspire and encourage students' individual talents and strengths. 

Rebecca Vosburgh

Ms. Vosburgh received her Degree in Broadcast Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. Realizing that her true calling was teaching, Ms. Vosburgh attended CSULB and got her multiple subject teaching credential while substitute teaching for LAUSD. She worked in South Gate as a 4th-grade teacher for 9 years while pursuing and receiving a Master's degree in Social and Multicultural Foundations of Education. She then became a National Board Certified teacher with a focus on literacy. 

Ms. Vosburgh came to Paseo in 2010 as a 2nd-grade teacher.  This was one of the best decisions of my life! "I just love the energy here!" she explained. She has continued to teach 2nd grade and recently finished a fellowship with the Cotsen Foundation, in which she focused on mastering the art of teaching in reading and writing.

Ms. Margerison received her bachelor degree in Child Development and CLAD credential from California State University Northridge, she then completed her Elementary Teaching Credential at California State University Dominguez Hills.  Her teaching career began at 66th Street School in 1994, teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades.  After eleven years she began her twelfth year here at Paseo where she taught 1st and 2nd grades, with 2nd grade being her absolute favorite.  She is excited about the direction Paseo del Rey is heading and look forward to the 2016-17 school year and my new students.

Mrs. Dennis began her teaching career at Paseo del Rey in 1996. She taught third grade and second grade. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in liberal studies, a clad teaching credential, and a minor in psychology. She loves teaching and especially loves when her students come back to visit her after they have graduated from high school and college.

Anne Drohan

Mrs. Drohan has taught for over 30 years, and has been at Paseo for 20 of those years.  She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University where she received her teaching credentials.  Teaching is a very rewarding profession.  Se is very proud of all of her students and excited to hear about their successes in life with their education, careers and family.




Wende Wawerchak

Ms. Wawerchak graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University with a BA in Education.  She has been with LAUSD since 1989 and has taught 2nd- 6th grades.  She is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher since 2001, a Master Teacher for LMU and UCLA, and recently finished a fellowship with the Cotsen Foundation specializing in math.  From an early age she knew teaching children would be her career.

Mrs. Paskalev received her BA in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge.  She received her teaching credential and MA in Education from Pepperdine University.  She has taught grades 1 thru 4 and enjoys teaching 3rd grade.




Fourth Grade

Laurie Brousseau

Mrs. Brousseau has worked for LAUSD since 2003. She has taught 4th, 1st and 2nd grade. She completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology from CSULB. She loves working for a STEAM inspired school.

David Diaz

Mr. Diaz earned his Political Science degree from Loyola Marymount University.  He then attended National University to obtain his Masters in Education.  He has been teaching in LAUSD since 1999 where he shares his love of Math, problem-solving and Science.  Always a learner, Mr. Diaz became a Costen Fellow to continue to hone his skills as a teacher. 

Sheila Bouffard

Ms. Bouffard received her B.S. in Business Administration: Accounting Theory and Practice with a minor in Economics from USC (GO TROJANS)!  After working in the business world she returned to graduate school to do a dual M.S. with Elementary Education Credential with CLAD from Cal State Northridge.



Fifth Grade


Bobby Harris

Mr. Harris has been teaching for over 20 years.  He received his undergrad in Psychology at UCLA, go Bruins!  He then received his Masters in Education and Administration from Dominguez Hills.  He is thrilled to teach at Paseo and to implement his mentoring program for our 5th grade boys through Loyola Marymount University.







Carol Walker

Ms. Walker has been teaching with LAUSD for 18 years. She began her career as a parent volunteer when she decided, “I can do this!” She enjoyed seeing that “Ah ha “ moment on the faces of students when they suddenly understood a concept.  Besides, she thought no one enjoys school supplies more than she does. She worked as a Teacher’s Assistant while completing her BA in Liberal Studies from Mount Saint Mary’s University. 

She has taught third and fourth grades and now fifth grade here at Paseo.  She is a graduate of Wright Middle School and Westchester High. Needless to say, she feels right at home at Paseo Natural Science Magnet.



Scott Andrew

Mr. Andrew graduated from UCLA with a degree in Music and a credential in teaching.  Mr. Andrew has been teaching for 25 years with LAUSD.  He was a Math Middle School Teacher for 15 years at Orville Wright Middle School in Westchester and then came to Paseo in 2014.  He loves teaching Math and inspiring children with the same passion.
