Super Friends of Paseo

Welcome back to school to all new and returning students and families!!!

 

We are the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Board at Paseo del Rey Natural Science Magnet. As members of our school community, you are all automatically members of the Friends of Paseo del Rey PTO! The Friends of Paseo are moms and dads, guardians, uncles and aunts, grandparents, friends and each member of the Paseo professional staff who care about children and education. We are empowered to make a difference in our school community through participation in the Friends of Paseo PTO. We call our active PTO participants the Super Friends of Paseo!

The goal of our organization is to provide enhanced educational experiences for every child to help them achieve their highest potential. When parents get involved in their children's education, grades go up, test scores go up, and children are more successful throughout their educational journey. The Friends of Paseo have previously funded regular computer classes (Planet Bravo), enhanced PE (STAR P.E.), field trips and more! We are an independent organization and all of the funds that we raise are used for our school.

In order to maximize the number of programs we provide to the kids, the PTO actively fundraises through pledge drives and various ongoing and event specific programs and activities. These funds enable us to offer many varied programs and projects, all for the betterment of the students' education. This is a different start to our year, but we are excited about the many opportunities we have to raise money for virtual school programs and we look forward to coming back to school when it is safe to do so.

We hope you’ll join us as a Super Friend of Paseo! Attend our first Zoom PTO meeting September 1st for officer elections and pledge drive kick off. Join us each month to keep informed about fundraising, volunteer opportunities and to help make decisions about how we use the funds we raise for our kids.

Becoming active is really easy, and it makes a big difference in the life of our kids!

Pledge Drive: We must meet our $20,000 Pledge Drive goal this school year.  If we come together as a community, we can make it happen!  Please check if your company has a Matching Gift Program to double your gift to Paseo! We suggest a donation of $15/month (or $150 per student). All donations are greatly appreciated!

When we return to campus, we will have:

Dollar Days: Otter Pop and snack sales

Dinner Nights: Restaurant Sponsored scheduled events that donate to the school

Vendor Sponsored Events: Support our vendors (Hot Dog on a Stick, Jamba Juice, Chik Fil-A, and more) that sell on campus at different events and we receive a percentage from each sale for the school.

Fortune Fundraising: We sell products and receive a percentage of the sales for the school.
